Matagama Necklace

Magatama are curved beads which first appeared in Japan during the Jōmon period. The most important magatama is the Yasakani no Magatama, which is part of the Imperial Regalia of Japan, added some time around the Heian period. The Yasakani no Magatama stands for benevolence, and is one of the three items used in the ceremony of imperial ascension. In Japanese mythology, the jewels, along with the mirror, were hung on the tree outside of Amaterasu's cave (where she had hidden) to lure her out. It is believed to be a necklace composed of jade magatama stones instead of a solitary gem as depicted in popular culture. It is believed to be enshrined in Tokyo, in the Japanese Imperial Palace. Examples of this necklace are seen in many anime.
We make two kinds of matagama necklaces. The single stone magatama necklace is consistent with the Amaterasu legend. The 7 matagama stone necklace has 5 wooden beads between each stone and is similar to ones seen in anime and other pop culture references.

Obi Ita - $10

Obi ita or "obi board 帯板", said "oh bee eat uh". If you've ever tried to put on an obi and wondered why it looked creased, wrinkled, or messy in the front after ten minutes, it's because there's no hard support underneath it.The obi-ita, usually a stiff piece of plastic takes care of this. You put it on either under the entire obi (if it has elastic ties) or under the final layer wrapped around yourself if it's the simple type shown here. This is a standard part of kimono "underwear" accessories. There is a small gap on each side of our obi ita allowing you to add your own ties to it if you choose.
